A super-race was a species which exhibited exceptional qualities and abilities that exceeded those of other species.
In 2268, Lieutenant Commander Spock referred to the Preservers as a super-race who passed through the Milky Way Galaxy and rescued primitive cultures who were in danger of extinction before seeding them elsewhere to live and grow. This super-race also left behind obelisks which deflected asteroids away from planets. (TOS: "The Paradise Syndrome")
