Sato's file as it appeared on screen, without Kimura
Takashi Kimura was listed as Hoshi Sato's husband in text prepared for Sato's personnel file, written by Michael Sussman for the Star Trek: Enterprise fourth season episode "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II". The text referencing Kimura was not ultimately used onscreen. [1] [2](X)
Sussman noted that the character's name was "cobbled together from actors in some favorite Japanese films." [3]
According to the unused text, after Sato and her family were ordered executed on Tarsus IV on the orders of governor Kodos in 2246, she was buried with Kimura in Kyoto, Japan.
The character would later be used in the Star Trek: Enterprise - Rise of the Federation novel Uncertain Logic.
