USS Franklin disappearance[]
I see this 2164 date quoted everywhere on MA, whereas in the movie the disappearance is only stated as taking place in "the early 2160s". What is the source of the precise year? --ANdRu (talk) 20:19, February 26, 2017 (UTC)
- I, too, am curious about the direct source for this number. --Alan del Beccio (talk) 21:35, February 26, 2017 (UTC)
- Balthazar Edison's file does have a date listed for his status as "Missing in Action". I can't read it, but it is there. - Archduk3 05:39, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
Wow well spotted, thanks! Perhaps it was readable in theaters. --ANdRu (talk) 13:54, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
- Doesn't seem to be from Edison's bio as suggested above. Both the initial and final versions appear to use 2255 (!) as a placeholder for all listed dates. Not from the captain's log either, and while the case files do seem to contain numbers that may possibly include the digits "64" these don't look like recognizable Kelvin-style stardates to me. (Source of 4k screencaps is TrekCore.) Lacking better evidence (anyone have better?), I remain dubious of this precise dating being treated as canon by MA. Is there a citable BG source for it?--Side Rat (talk) 00:14, March 2, 2020 (UTC)
- EDITED TO ADD: Regarding PostImages links above, one may have to choose option to "download original image" to get full size...not sure. Sorry. --Side Rat (talk) 00:29, March 2, 2020 (UTC)
