5 Year Mission
This may be premature, but I've included the events of the end of the STID in early 2260 since that's where I expected to find them. Even though it's ambiguous, it's reasonable to assume a gathering to honor those who were lost "nearly a year ago" is going to be much closer to the dates which it occurred than not. Since .55 corresponds to mid-February, assuming it's the end of 2259 would be like celebrating Memorial Day at the beginning of April instead of the end of May in the US. The reality is Memorial Day moves around by a few days year to year, so perhaps the events of STID were similarly honored. But to assume over two months earlier doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would they launch a 5 year mission during the Winter holiday period?
Perhaps the next film will clarify the timeline a little better, but in the meantime, it makes sense to have this detail in both places for those who know the 5 year mission launched nearly a year after the events of STID, as long as it's made clear its not an exact date in both places. Besides 2260 is a much better year on which to launch a 5 year mission.;-)--Dogg (talk) 19:58, July 10, 2016 (UTC)
