"The Dogs of War" stardate is 52861.3 whereas Relativity is 52861.274. The Dogs of War should be after Relativity. Tough Little Ship 16:55, 4 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Missing information[]
There seems to be quite a bit of info missing from the summary of this year, particularly surrounding events at the end of DS9 and its final episode, What You Leave Behind. Can I suggest that at least the following points are added:
- The Bajoran spiritual leader, Kai Winn Adami is lost, presumed dead, in the Fire Caves on Bajor, together with the former Cardassian leader, Dukat, and Captain Benjamin Sisko. The Bajorans begin the process of electing a new Kai. Benjamin Sisko later appears to his wife, Kasidy Yates, and tells her that he is with the Prophets in the Celestial Temple. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
- Following the end of the Dominion War and the liberation of Cardassia, Elim Garak remains on Cardassia, his exile from his homeworld now officially over. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")
- The Chief of Operations of Deep Space 9, Miles O'Brien, and his family leave DS9 to return to Earth; O'Brien takes up a position at Starfleet Academy as Professor of Engineering. At the request of Martok, the Klingon Chancellor of the High Council, Worf becomes the Federation Ambassador to Qo'noS. Odo leaves DS9 to rejoin the Founders in the Great Link. (DS9: "What You Leave Behind")

Removed info[]
I've removed the following info from the background section:
*It is possible by 2375 that the United Federation of Planets have developed cloaking technology and capability as they use mines outside the Bajoran Wormhole in "Call to Arms" which have the capability to cloak. Also in Star Trek: Insurrection the Federation Holoship has the ability to cloak.
I don't see how this unsourced information is particularly important to this article. Given that the Federation was trying to develop phase cloak technology in the 2350s as seen in "The Pegasus", and "Call to Arms" takes place in 2373, the Federation would likely have standard cloaking technology long before 2375 anyways. Either way, speculating about the state of Federation technology by any year isn't important background information. --68.106.25.12 06:01, January 12, 2012 (UTC)
Paris' demotion and episode order[]
Forgive me if this has been brought up, I've looked for it on the relevant talk pages and haven't seen anything...
The episode article for "Infinite Regress" says repeatedly that Tom Paris is a lieutenant as of that episode, but if that's the case, shouldn't it be set before "Thirty Days" in the timeline? The stardates for this stretch of episodes are already bouncing all over the place, but I figured going by Tom's rank would be a good indicator.
Unless he is shown as an ensign in "Infinite Regress." I can't make out his pips on the TrekCore screen caps (too dark at red alert), and I haven't had the chance to check the episode itself. In which case the episode summary needs to be corrected. --TimPendragon (talk) 05:34, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
