Removed uncited note[]

The restricted area access tunnel that Rom accesses in "Behind the Lines" has the designation "A51", which could be an in-joke for Area 51.

I have removed the above uncited note until a source can be found. --| TrekFan Open a channel 21:02, February 2, 2018 (UTC)

Merge?[]

Should this be merged into the Jefferies tube article (under the existing "Alien variants" heading) given that they are essentially two different names for the same thing? --| TrekFan Open a channel 03:49, February 6, 2018 (UTC)

I almost wonder if it should be vice versa, or eliminate all non-Federation references from Jefferies tube (presently just "Alien variant") and place them here, because Jefferies tubes (as written) is exclusively a Starfleet/Federation term. I'm not sure if the service crawl ways on DS9 were given the JT nomenclature, but ultimately, an access tunnel is an access tunnel, while a Jefferies tube is an access tunnel on a SF ship. --Alan (talk) 14:00, October 4, 2018 (UTC)
According to the transcript search, Jefferies tube on DS9 was only mentioned regarding the Defiant, except for one comment from Sisko to O'Brien in "Visionary" which could refer either way to the station or the ship. That said, there is precedence for keeping different pages for the same thing: we have sickbay, medical ward and infirmary which all essentially describe the same thing, just differentiated by affiliation and type of installation. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kennelly (talkcontribs).
Use this page to descripe all types of access tunnels with Jefferies tube linked to from here, much like how a Federation starship is still a starship. - Archduk3 05:24, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

Incomplete[]

Rather than a pointless list of appearances, the above should be given a purposeful explanation. --Alan (talk) 19:50, February 12, 2019 (UTC)
