Where does the quotations of the death chant come from? As far as I'm aware, there was never any actual time that we saw the death chant -- we just heard Ro complaining that it was three hours long... -- Dan Carlson 06:26, 8 Apr 2004 (PDT)

This [1] page has the same texts with a slightly different spelling. According to that page, the sources are DS9: "Battle Lines" and "Shakaar". -- Cid Highwind 12:17, 8 Apr 2004 (PDT)
There is no evidence to prove that either of the rituals which are seen in "Shakaar" and "Battle Lines" are the same ritual as Ro mentions in "The Next Phase". The "Battle Lines" ritual could be called, "the Passing Ritual" and the ritual in "Shakaar" could be "the Memory Ritual", for all we know! --Defiant | Talk 13:39, 21 Mar 2005 (EST)
The ritual performed by Kira Nerys in "Battle Lines" was described as Bajoran death chant in the script of the episode. I think we should add this into the article and include the information about Kira's deep, somber voice and maybe the lines, too. We don't how long Kira would have performed the death chant if the Ennis/ Nol-Ennis did not interrupt her. – Tom 10:02, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
