The way the article is written, "Charles was the name adopted by a Vissian cogenitor" it written much more conclusively than the dialog implied:

  • Cogenitor: "Trip?"
  • Trip: "Yeah?"
  • Cogenitor: "I'd like my name to be Trip, just like yours."
  • Trip: "Actually, my name's Charles."
  • Cogenitor: "Then I would like my name to be Charles."
  • Trip: "I'm flattered."

The name was only discussed and never really finalized as definite (such as the article implies), nor was it ever mentioned after the fact (beyond that scene). Just some food for thought. --Alan 16:37, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Hmm you have a point, but she seemed pretty determened (she was quite impulsive exploring her newfound freedom too). I really don't have the impression she intended to sleep on it. So, while you're right, she may not really have addopted the name, it seems the most straightforward interpretation that she did. As for her name not being mentioned after, the rest of the ep pretty much was about people being pissed at Trip, so that's to be expected. -- Capricorn 16:53, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
