Lifespan[]

While the race native to Cheron was obviously advanced (enough to be able to take over the Enterprise, but not keep it), they do not seem godlike in the episode. my first thought upon watching the episode again was that extended non-warp space travel (with the resulting time-dilation) was a more likely explanation than simple longevity.

Since both explanations are subjective guesses, I was considering making an addition to the article, but wanted some input first. —MJBurrage^(T•C) 03:49, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

On a related note, do we know that Bele's ship was from Cheron, he may have acquired it during the chase.

We know they left Charon 50,000 years ago, but if they left in sub-light ships it could have taken them most of the 50,000 years (while barely aging) just to get to the first planet they visited in the chase. —MJBurrage^(T•C) 03:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I have to disagree with you on the sublight claim. The personal forcefields and other abilities demonstrated were beyond that of even 24th century Starfleet tech, not that of a sublight limited race. --OuroborosCobra ^talk 04:17, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

They had personal forcefields in ST:TAS, and they were also mentioned in a DS9 episode I believe. Nevertheless, it's best to avoid all speculation and just report the facts. When in doubt it is best to say something to the effect of "It isn't clear whether such and such or such and such". I agree with MJBurrage that the episode also never stated whether their powers were mental or technological other than the mental control they had over the ship. I think that should be noted. Were the forcefields technology or mental power? I was under the impression that they had a number of mental powers. The only technology was the unseen ship, and I do not believe they said it was from Cheron. —MJBurrage^(T•C) 04:50, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

add on mention power, forcefield & willpower,./are all part of the brain//that should be look over under the control of the willpower,.//which bring on the force field,.// from thier DNA/// & also thier mental powers/ to control a ship or burnout controls ///or the master computer///
