San Francisco calls its City Council the 'Board of Supervisors' in reality (because S.F. is a consolidated city-county); so I guess my question is, is there something to indicate that the newspaper reference about licensing procedures refers to San Francisco and not the City Council of a neighboring city? If it does we might want to rename this to add San Francisco to the name (like I did over at California State Assembly) 31dot (talk) 23:03, September 17, 2013 (UTC)
- The headline appeared in at least one other mock newspaper [1], so I guess some of the text in that newspaper wasn't explicitly created with San Francisco in mind. The way I see it, we just have to assume that the Trek version of San Francisco works different from the real version (and it wouldn't be the first such difference).
- That being said, the name change question is probably moot anyway, because since you commented I've found a second reference to a city council and changed the article to be about the general concept of a city council rather then that specific body. -- Capricorn (talk) 23:11, September 17, 2013 (UTC)
Agreed. :) 31dot (talk) 23:12, September 17, 2013 (UTC)
For future reference[]
Come to think about it, it's probably a good idea to note down the exact headline that was seen in voyage home, just for transparency, since it isn't quoted word for word in the article. Here we go:
- "Licensing Procedure Changes Examined by City Council"
