I notice the HMS Defiant is listed here. There was no HMS Defiant, save for the fictional ship that appeared in Damn the Defiant! (US title) -- Excelsior 14:36, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Didn't a picture of a sailing ship Defiant appear in the briefing room of the USS Defiant in "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II"? I seem to recall reading someplace that it was also intended to be the HMS Defiant, even though there was no such ship in reality, meaning there was at least one in the Trek universe. -- SmokeDetector47 // talk 14:48, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I looked at the pages pointing here, particularly to the redirect (USS Defiant), and the overwhelming majority refer to the (original) DS9 version. Wouldn't it be logical to have USS Defiant point there with one of those "For other uses, see Defiant (disambiguation)" links? Then since the other ones all have something before/after the word Defiant, maybe this page should point to the episode with a similar notice. --Schrei 22:08, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I respectfully disagree. Most mentions should not indicate where a redirect goes...if there is ambiguity, then the redirect should go to the Diambig page.
Could someone who knows how to do bots revert the "USS Defiant" redirect to the Disambig page and bot-fix the necessary links?Capt Christopher Donovan 03:54, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Why does "Defiant" redirect here instead of the opposite if so many things named Defiant but without an USS before it are included? -- Capricorn (talk) 16:14, December 3, 2014 (UTC)
