Edward Jellico / John Jellicoe Edit

It is quite likely the character's name is a reference to John Jellicoe, who was commander of the British Grand Fleet during WWI.

  • I removed the above mentioned reference:
On 20th century Earth, Sir John Jellicoe commanded the British fleet at the Battle of Jutland (1916), the greatest clash of big gun, armoured warships in Earth naval history. Although they possessed similar surnames and vocations, it is unknown if there is any relation between the Royal Navy officer and the Starfleet captain.
  • I really don't think it has any relevance here, other than coincidence --especially in the detail in which it was presented. --Alan del Beccio 20:10, 23 Nov 2005 (UTC)

This could still use a paragraph or two on why Jellico was given command of the Enterprise, as well as his philosophy, attitude and faux confidence in dealing with Gul Lemec. --Alan del Beccio 20:10, 23 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Having a page this small broken into sections seems like overkill to me, but I've been off the circuit for a while and am unsure of protocol and/or preferences. Jaf 13:03, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Jaf

It looks fine to me.– Cleanse 13:27, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
