Federation Headquarters was specifically identified as a building (which is where rooms are typically found) in "Homefront": "I want these units installed in every room at Starfleet and Federation Headquarters, then start working on the orbital stations."

Likewise, the script for Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home specifically identified Kirk's trial room, moreless confirming what we already knew, being located in Federation Headquarters. So if this has changed from a building to a location, separate from what it was, there needs to be some hard evidence to explain why, because these half-assed adding reference subsections or citations to articles without actually adding content associated with said references needs to stop. –Gvsualan (talk) 16:53, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

[edit conflict] - First, when was it stated that Federation Headquarters is only San Francisco if it isn't just the specific building? Second, why are we saying every appearance of the city is also an appearance of Headquarters? Did we really see Headquarters in "Children of Mars"? Third, when was it stated that moving Federation Headquarters off of Earth is why Earth stop being a member? It seem to me a lot of assumptions are being made on what is vague dialog at best. - Archduk3 16:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

I made some changes to actually reflect the episode. I personally think every thing underneath it should be discarded...right? I mean this is pretty much all we know right?

Merge with Starfleet Headquarters?

In both DS9: "Homefront" and DIS: "Die Trying", this site (on Earth in the first instance, and in space in the second) is referred to as a joint Starfleet-Federation HQ. So, I propose that we likewise represent the place in the same way. –Defiant (talk) 17:00, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
