The generic term cargo ship redirects to freighter, assuming both starship types are the same. Shouldn't Ferengi cargo ship then also redirect to Ferengi freighter, as a cargo ship=freighter? Kennelly 17:48, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

That is assuming they are of the same class. I think this page was created to make that distinction, being that two (or more) different names were used. --Alan del Beccio 22:43, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

It just seems inconsistent to me, that we assume a Ferengi cargo ship is different from a Ferengi freighter, but at the same time in general equate cargo ship=freighter. Kennelly 21:13, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Merged. --Alan 16:34, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Redux: I think we equated that because the terminology is so similar, in terms of describing it in the most general terms, because one species' cargo ship might be another's freighter. Seeing as these are both Ferengi ship designs, the change in nomenclature could somehow denote a difference in the class, ownership, etc. --Alan 00:11, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
