The following was removed by User:31dot, per "removed real-world POV, and opinion":
- Fire Extinguishers are seen hanging on the walls of the bridges of 23rd-century starships. This is however, a blatant anachronism that should have been rendered obsolete by the mid-21st century. In the centuries of starships, an automated fire-suppression system engaged by the computer at the moment an uncontrolled fire starts would exceed the task an ordinary, antiquated fire extinguisher would have.
In addition:
- Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country: a silver fire extinguisher is seen on the left wall as Captain Kirk walks onto the Bridge of the USS Enterprise A.
- Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country: another silver fire extinguisher is seen on the left wall right by the door into Kirk's quarters, when a Vulcan helmswoman enters the room and startles Kirk.

I think the device Kira used in "The Passenger" was a fire extinguisher, but I'm not sure. I think there were a few other uses of them in Trek as well.--31dot 21:57, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
