Spelling of the title[]
It seems like there are alternate spellings of the title of this episode. Some sources are spelling it "First Con-tact" [1] as well as the Paramount Plus episode selector. Others seem to be spelling it "First Contact", the current title of this article. which spelling will be our primary version? Oldag07 (talk) 14:12, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- The title card is always the primary version, which is also noted in the episode's title section. –Gvsualan (talk) 14:17, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
A redirect would make sense though. I'll get it Oldag07 (talk) 16:36, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- It appears the title card was an error, and a fix is on the way: [2] ValueSubtracted (talk) 19:18, 13 January 2022 (UTC)
- Even if the title card was not an error, using the hyphen would seem to be a good way to disambiguate instead of a double disambiguation. 31dot (talk) 09:04, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, it would've been. If that were the episode's ACTUAL title (hint: the title card is what we go by on MA). I'm curious to know what the fix in place (mentioned above) is. If it's just a fix to the title on the schedule, or a fix to the title card. In any case, there is a link from "First Con-tact" for that kind of search. -- Sulfur (talk) 12:02, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- The title card has now been corrected on Crave in Canada - it says "First Con-tact". ValueSubtracted (talk) 13:39, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- It hasn’t been fixed on Paramount+ in the US yet, but I assume it soon will be. When it is, the article should be moved to “First Con-tact”; after all, our article on "Rules of Acquisition" isn’t at “Rules of Aquisition”, even though that’s what its title card said on initial broadcast. (What is it with female Ferengi episodes and title card snafus?) —Josiah Rowe (talk) 14:30, 14 January 2022 (UTC)

- Which is still an unverifed statement. As for everything else, holy ship, why is there so much discussion about this???? –Gvsualan (talk) 16:16, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- If it has been corrected, can someone please upload the corrected image to this image? Thanks. -- Sulfur (talk) 16:43, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oddly, it doesn’t seem to have been fixed on Paramount+ yet. (Unless my devices are playing an old version from a cache or something.) It’s a bit weird that they would fix it so quickly on Crave but not on P+.
Are you sure they changed the actual title card on Crave, ValueSubtracted?(Sorry, I didn’t see that corrected title card had been uploaded.) —Josiah Rowe (talk) 18:45, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
