Human Name[]

Really? There is a Cardassian, named Gary Hutzel? That makes no sense Cardassians don't have Human names. SketchFan98 (talk) 07:30, April 7, 2018 (UTC)

All the Cardassians on that suspect list have Human names, all of which are actually the names of the production staff. This obviously wasn't meant to be taken seriously, but, unfortunately, Memory Alpha's policy is to treat any text that's barely visible on screen as hard canon. --NetSpiker (talk) 08:03, April 7, 2018 (UTC)
Talk pages aren't for chit chat Sketchfan, thats been explained to you before. As for the rest, big deal. --Alan (talk) 12:25, April 7, 2018 (UTC)
It's something that is frequently done when putting together text the casual viewer will never see/read close up. That's not to say that a later writer drawing from MA for future Star Trek projects is definitely going to take the name seriously and use it in dialogue. Accurate documentation ≠ personal belief in any one archivist's mind. --LauraCC (talk) 15:29, April 7, 2018 (UTC)
