R.I.P. iTunes[]

Apple is no longer using the iTunes name for digital media or the applications used to access them. For some time now, iOS apps have been purchased via the App Store, and books and comics via the Books app.

Now, for TV and movies, at least within the Apple/Mac ecosystem, digital copies are now accessed via the Apple TV app. iTunes still exists as a Windows app, for the time being, but I expect that to disappear soon. So, should we move this page to Apple TV? —Josiah Rowe (talk) 04:45, November 5, 2019 (UTC)

...and good riddance. Since this page has always dealt with more than just the episodes and films offered, we should rename this to Apple apps, or some other all encompassing name if we want to change it. That way, we can have "Apple TV", "Apple app store", and "Apple Books" all redirect here without needlessly spreading the content out, and if any of these need to be split off later we can still do that rather easily. I don't see a reason to split the page up right now with the iTunes name still being used for non-cult hardware, and apparently still in the "Apple Music" app for actually purchasing music. - Archduk3 05:46, November 5, 2019 (UTC)

If we want to keep this page as a catch-all, I think Apple digital media would be better than Apple apps. —Josiah Rowe (talk) 05:39, November 6, 2019 (UTC)
