According to a user known as Washington, John Lendale Bennett passed away on February 28th, 2006. However, I have yet to find a source to confirm this. --From Andoria with Love 08:44, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Trek Stuntman[]

He was the Regular Stunt Double for Avery Brooks in DS9 and also doubled Tim Russ in Voyager. I think he should be in the Category Stunt performers. Please Shran , don't delete such informations. Thanks – Tom 09:26, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

I didn't remove any information, just the category... this was because I didn't see the stunt info for some reason – despite the fact that I worked on the article about a month ago. Image in the Sand[]

He's credited as Avery's stunt double in this episode, but really, the only major stunt action was when Cirroc got repulsed from the Orb when he tried to touch it and flew through the air. It is possible this actor was really Jake's stunt double, not Bens? --Alan 23:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Definitly not. Jake's stunt double was another stuntman. The credit as his stunt double came from the costume's name tag which was auctioned on eBay. We all know they make a few mistakes from time to time. John Lendale Bennett was according to Leslie Hoffman Avery Brook's stunt double and stand-in/ photo double for many seasons. Several call sheets support this. Btw, possible that for the wide shots in the desert stunt doubles were used, a similar thing happened in Star Trek VI, Tom Morga who played the Brute, for the wide shots in the ice region. For harsh regions the production preferred stunt performers instead of photo doubles or actors. – Tom 06:54, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
