Should there be a way to express differences (or potential differences) in ranks or other information between TOS and SNW when apparent retcons or other difficulties arise? M'Benga's rank was not stated in TOS, but I have a very hard time imagining that they would have purposely made him outrank McCoy. The most reasonable assumption for TOS is Lt. Cmdr., but really for TOS his rank should be considered "unknown" or "unspecified," rather than just stated as Commander. Martinson2005 (talk) 16:26, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
