Name source?[]
Guessing that there's a star catalogue somewhere in Federation archives named for either a person or a place named "Kiley" in Star Trek's version of galaxy-mapping history? Probably easier for viewers to remember this name than a sixteen-digit Gaia DR3 catalogue number. - DEWLine.Ottawa (talk) 14:06, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- maybe, maybe not. "kiley" could be those aliens' word for "earth". i don't think we have any depth of information in the episode to make any guess useful to the article -- user:captainmike 15:04, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
No, I don't think so. "Kiley 279" was Starfleet's reference label for the star and its second planet. We have yet to hear/read the local species' own name(s) for their world, homestar, and the rest of the planets of their system. Some stuff is definitely being left for future scriptwriters. - DEWLine.Ottawa DEWLine.Ottawa (talk) 19:41, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- since this is a talk page for discussion related to updating the article, i fail to see the reason for your comments though -- user:captainmike20:00, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
