I'm wondering if Time would be a better category than foods, since "lunch" is not a food itself, but a time at which to eat it.--31dot 00:52, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Well I assume it was chosen because that is where breakfast is. Otherwise, wikipedia categorizes it under "meals", which in itself is a subcategory of "food and drink" (their version of our Category:Foods and beverages). It's not so much that lunch is an actual food or beverage but incorporates the application of. The same can be said of "cooking", if we had such an article. Regarding "time", it would make sense if 'lunch' was synonymous specifically with '12 noon', but since it is a 'meal' and not an 'hour on the clock', otherwise I can't see "time" applying. --Alan 01:04, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I agree. I only added it to that cat because breakfast was in it and I couldn't think of what other cat to add it to. Can you think of one? -- TrekFan 01:08, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Well what I was indirectly saying was that the one it is in is the catch all for related topics that are neither (or both) food or beverage (or application of). --Alan 01:10, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Ah, OK. Well, I can't think of a better cat for this article atm. Maybe it should just stay in this one, although I agree it doesn't fit 100% -- TrekFan 01:15, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

I didn't really have a big preference one way or the other. The reasoning certainly makes sense.--31dot 01:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
