First of all, it's great that those aliens do get behind the scenes names. Second, I'm happy that Neville Page trusted us with the names. I explained to him that this would help us classify aliens and write articles about them instead of calling them "Unnamed 24th century alien #23" or some such. Should one of the species get a different name in spoken dialogue in a later season, we can always change this but for now, I think this is a good start to get the aliens listed at Memory Alpha. As far as I know, except for Rhomsew, they are not even mentioned anywhere here so far. --[[User:Jörg|Jörg]] ([[User talk:Jörg|talk]]) 09:17, March 31, 2020 (UTC)

Oh as a Romulan

Episode name

Out of curiosity, where did the episode name get announced before the airing of the show? Question kind of goes with episode 1 and 3. MechQueste 18:01, January 30, 2020 (UTC)

Probably TrekMovie.com or just google this episodes name, then go to news and look at whatever website has the oldest news articles containing the title. --Alan (talk) 18:07, January 30, 2020 (UTC)

Vasquez Rocks

Is Musiker supposed to be living at the actual Vasquez Rocks for once? I don't think Picard left Earth in this episode. -- UncertainError (talk) 06:31, January 31, 2020 (UTC)

Removed

  • When Lieutenant Narissa Rizzo appears via holo-communicator in Narek's quarters, the rank pips on her uniform change position several times throughout the scene. Additionally, at several points during the scene, one of the pips can be seen turned on its side, apparently magnetically connected to the other pip.
Removed from the continuity section for beign a nitpick. -- Capricorn (talk) 09:43, January 31, 2020 (UTC)
  • Despite a considerable amount of paranoia and foreshadowing, a sign prominently posted in the Artifact announces it has been 5,843 days (about 16 years) since the last assimilation (another sign, next to it, presumably says the same thing in Romulan script). Shortly afterward, an overseer welcomes everyone to "Ops Cycle 9834". If an Ops Cycle is equivalent of a day, then the Borg Cube may in fact have been liberated by the Romulans as long ago as 26 years (2373 CE).
Nitpick plus speculation. -- Capricorn (talk) 12:32, January 31, 2020 (UTC)

"2nd appearence of flag officer in gold instead red" - who is the other one? If there're just two of them, the other one should be named. 91.41.233.218 21:00, February 3, 2020 (UTC)

Dr. Kabath

Is Dr. Kabath the one who's removing components from the Borg drone? It looks like Wendy Davis to me but it's hard to be sure with the mask and makeup. -- UncertainError (talk) 22:40, February 9, 2020 (UTC)

I think so, yeah. JagoAndLitefoot (talk) 22:43, February 9, 2020 (UTC)

Names of alien species acquired from Neville Page

I will put this here as all four aliens that this is going to be about were seen in this episode. I contacted Neville Page asking him for possible names of the alien species seen in this episode. He identified four of the species and confirmed Rhomsew. You can find the tweet here.

In an earlier exchange with him he said that the names are either the species names or character names, depending how they are ultimately used. As none of the names were used in the episode (as in spoken in dialogue or written somewhere), I suggest we use them as species names (and not character names) for the following reasons:

A Yariv is seen at Starfleet Headquarters in San Francisco in PIC: "Maps and Legends". Another member of the species appears on the Artifact (Borg cube) in the same episode and again in PIC: "The Impossible Box". Because of the heavy make-up, it is of course impossible to say if this is supposed to be the same person but the distance between Earth and the Borg cube is way too big to cover in, say, half a day, so I suggest we have two members of the species Yariv here.

A Muhlariam appears both in PIC: "Remembrance" (at the Starfleet Archive Museum) and in PIC: "Maps and Legends" (at Starfleet Headquarters). This could technically be the same person.

Rhomsew was seen at Starfleet Headquarters in this episode. Another member of her species was also seen on the Borg cube in the same episode and in PIC: "The Impossible Box". McKenzie Westmore has established this to be her character's name and also that she only played the role in the scenes set at Starfleet Headquarters. I suggest then, that the other character on the Borg cube is another member of Rhomsew's species.

Two different Fesoj were seen over the course of season 1. They were clearly played by different actors. One is working on the Borg cube and appears in several scenes in PIC: "Maps and Legends" (during the briefing scene and while Soji Asha and Naáshala Kunamadéstifee are waiting in line). Another unrelated Fesoj is a bouncer in the club called Nightbox in PIC: "Stardust City Rag". He's the one shown in the photo collage that is part of the twitter post.

First of all, it's great that those aliens do get behind the scenes names. Second, I'm happy that Neville Page trusted us with the names. I explained to him that this would help us classify aliens and write articles about them instead of calling them "Unnamed 24th century alien #23" or some such. Just read the tweet and it's not clear if those names apply to the species or the individual. The fact that he says "is Yariv" instead or "is a Yariv" implies they are individual names. --NetSpiker (talk) 09:22, March 31, 2020 (UTC)
