Q[]
I haven't seen this TOS episode, but i wondered whether it could be reasonable to assume a connection between metrons and the "Q" seen in TNG and VOY (never in DS9, strangely). We can find lots of common characteristics : great power, longe lifespan, and a tendency to test Humans. --Rami
- Metrons appear to be more advanced than the Federation in the 23rd century, but not by all that much. They've got a dampening field that shuts down passing ships, and a nifty transporter, but there's no real confirmation that they're energy beings like the Organians or Trelane. They do have the capricious-bastard personality common to the Q, so not much they say can be taken at face value. In DS9 there's a mention of the Metron Consortium signing a trade agreement with another race. That doesn't sound like the god-like Q. -- Aurelius Kirk 09:47, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- ummm the Q were in one episode of ds9, and Vash from captians holiday. he played a pretty small part in the episode, but he wqs there none the less --Its Time For The White! =/\=Talk=/\= 20:49, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
Axons[]
The Metrons loke like The Axons/Axonoids from The Claws Of Axos (Doctor Who) GarfielfStuff (talk) 21:56, May 1, 2019 (UTC)
- Except that the Metron's appearance predates whatever you're talking about by 6+ years. Which is neither here nor there, because this isn't supposed to be a chat page. --Alan (talk) 03:21, May 2, 2019 (UTC)
Keep the article accurate, please[]
I just reverted an edit that claimed among other things that Metro's are "Non-corporeal lifeform"s, that they can change shape, and that one "wore a flowing, shimmering robe that seems to be made of energy or light". There's no evidence for any of those assertions in "Arena", the only canonical appearance of the Metrons. They seem to represent someone's personal interpretation of the episode; they are not obviously supported by anything in it . Pie Son (talk) 23:42, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
