Unknown alien from Westmore's studio[]
Westmores aliens.
This is a screenshot from Michael Westmore's make-up studio on the Star Trek lot from one of the TNG DVD season box special features. Many make-ups are seen that can easily be identified. There's Zek's headpiece, a Tygarian, the alien from "Latent Image", Nocona's species, a Xyrillian and the yellow Dabo girl's species. As a Xyrillian is present, this image must have been recorded after ENT Season 1.
Now, the make-up that has bothered me for quite some time is the alien in the center of the pic in the upper row, the pink alien with 4 sets of eyes. I remember seeing a pic of this particular alien in a Star Trek Magazine years ago (maybe 8-10 years now) but I can't remember which magazine it was to look it up again. Now, does anybody know where this alien appeared? As it was featured in said Star Trek magazine and is present amongst all the other Star Trek aliens I'm pretty sure it must have been seen somewhere in Trek. I've kept a close eye on all the unnamed background aliens seen in the various series and movies and never saw that alien, but maybe I simply overlooked it. It's also possible that this alien was created for one of the Star Trek games (Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (game), maybe?) and thus was only seen there and never appeared in the canon series. Does anybody have any clue where this alien is from? As I said before, this weird creation has puzzled me for quite some time. Any help would be appreciated. --Jörg 22:16, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
