According to both the DVD subtitles and the officially licensed Star Trek: CCG game card, Lt. Comm. Daren's first name is spelled "Neela," not "Nella." In the episode, it is pronounced as the latter, so I can understand the confusion, but this should be changed, as I have found no evidence that both the DVD and the card are wrong. That just wouldn't make sense. --Werideatdusk 08:12, 7 Aug 2005 (UTC)

  • Hm, StarTrek.com lists it as "Nella Daren", but IMDB also lists it as Neela. I'm gonna guess the script said "Neela", but everyone said Nella, so the Trek production retcon'd it into Nella. Could someone check the Star Trek: Encyclopedia? - AJHalliwell 08:34, 7 Aug 2005 (UTC)
  • Well the subtitles should be used as a guide or reference for spelling not an absolute. The CCG game card may be licensed, but it is not canon. Anyway, the Encyclopedia says "Neela" -- but around here the Encyclopedia spelling means very little. The script, and basically the final say in the argument, spells it "Nella". If anything, Neela Daren should be a redirect here to divert any future confusion and a note on the spelling at the end of the article. --Alan del Beccio 08:54, 7 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The Far future timeline article says Nella made a star chart that will be proved or disproved in 2 million years, but this articles lacks any mention. I don't own a copy of this episode, maybe someone else can review it? Thanks. 75.111.33.65 07:33, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

I just reviewed it (watching the episode right now) - It's correct. Jimw338 (talk) 17:07, July 8, 2019 (UTC)
