"Saran wrap"[]
This is a brand name, and if the brand appeared in the movie, this page should be "Saran Wrap", and specifically about that brand. The actual name of the generic product should be either "cling wrap" or "plastic wrap". -- sulfur (talk) 18:25, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not an American, so I had to figure this out starting from zero, but the impression I got was that it was one of those brand names that over time became shorthand for the entire product, like Kleenex or asperin. I could be wrong though. -- Capricorn (talk) 18:52, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
It's a common shorthand, just as "Kleenex" is, but the proper name is "plastic wrap". "Saran Wrap" is still trademarked and protected in a number of locations. I've moved it and added in a link for "Saran Wrap" to match the "Handi-Wrap II" link already there. -- sulfur (talk) 18:56, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
