Andoria (star) Merge?[]

Is this supposed to be the same as Andoria (star)? It was touched on File Talk: Alpha Beta Quadrant Overview star chart.jpg, but if this is a better home for it... --Alan (talk) 20:41, February 21, 2020 (UTC)

According to this, yes, but I don't know if it was actually visible on screen at any point. There was also a promotional still from PIC: shown on TrekCore that also confirmed it (as well as Tellar Prime orbiting 61 Cygni) but I can't find it now. Will post here if/when I do. - Mitchz95 (talk) 15:00, February 25, 2020 (UTC)

If we can't move forward on this, then I'd like to remove the merge tag. --Alan (talk) 14:00, March 19, 2020 (UTC)

In the star chart from the Star Trek: Picard episode "Maps and Legends", we have confirmation of Andoria being in the Procyon system. The label to indicate the location of the Procyon system was written "Procyon (Andoria)" (Star System|Federation Member) Two choices here: merge this page with Procyon or merge this page with Andoria.Memphis77 (talk) 02:03, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Well if I'm reading this right, this is one of three names for the same star(s) in this system, so Procyon system = Andorian system and Andoria (star) = Procyon, and Andoria remains unchanged. Is there a final tally on how/where/when these were all used? Such as, how does Procyon A and B and Alpha Canis Minoris fit into this reference-wise? –Gvsualan (talk) 02:42, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

The map where this star was named Alpha Canis Minoris never appeared in Star Trek: Discovery.Memphis77 (talk) 23:54, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Did that/those names every appear on any charts? –Gvsualan (talk) 13:30, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

Supposedly, a chart from Star Trek: Star Charts, in which that name might have been mentioned, appeared in several episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. However, the chart is illegible, see 40 Eridani A background section for a view of the chart. Of the star charts that are mentioned at Federation star charts, none ever mentioned "Alpha Canis Majoris".Memphis77 (talk) 16:56, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

I know it seems petty, but if "Alpha Canis Majoris" and "Procyon A"/"Procyon B" haven't been mentioned on screen, they should be moved to the bg, there's already a lot going up front without them being there. –Gvsualan (talk) 17:20, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

My answer to your question was specifically to "Alpha Canis Minoris". I did not understand your question referred to "Procyon A"/"Procyon B", as well. "Procyon A"/"Procyon B" were mentioned by name in a star chart seen in several episodes of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Memphis77 (talk) 18:06, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
