Riverside in honor of George Kirk?

Can we get any verification on this? Or at least a better source reference. This sounds like fan fiction.--Hribar 14:51, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

I have fixed the link to point to the specific comment. -- Michael Warren | Talk 14:55, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

San Francisco Fleet Yards

Is the Riverside Yard part of the San Francisco Fleet Yards? Archduk3 07:19, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

No. --OuroborosCobra talk 07:20, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
To elaborate, the Riverside Shipyard is in Riverside, Iowa. In the alternate reality, the Enterprise was built here rather than the San Francisco Fleet Yards. The reason the Riverside Yards exist in the alternate reality is that they were built to commemorate the sacrifice of George Kirk, who was from Riverside. With the Riverside Shipyard, ship projects were split between Riverside and San Franciso, and Riverside got the Enterprise, probably to accommodate the ship's massive size compared to other ships of that era. For the record, all of this info comes from the writers and was not actually stated on-screen, I'm just giving you the reasons why things are the way the are. :) --From Andoria with Love 08:00, 23 May 2009 (UTC) [1]
I was just questioning the information in the Enterprise tour website, which is non-cannon anyways, but still used in some of the size debates. Archduk3 09:46, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

SFC

Has anyone run across what SFC actually means? I'm under the impression that, logically, it could mean Starfleet Construction. Eh, in any case, just wondering if there has been any elaboration.--Obey the Fist!! 12:42, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
