I was just watching this episode tonight, and decided to take a look at this article, and I think he needs to be in more than just Category:Humans. At the very least, he should be in Category:Enterprise (NX-01) personnel. Even Porthos is in there, and as evidenced by Archer's eulogy, and the entire episode, he was considered part of the crew:

  • ARCHER: "The most difficult task facing any Captain, any crew, is the loss of a shipmate. We've come here to honor one of our own."

I'm definitely adding that category. I'd also like to add Category:Starfleet personnel. While it is never verbally said as such, there is very conclusive visual evidence to say that he was at least made an "honorary" member of Starfleet. Throughout the episode, he didn't where the Starfleet uniform, but instead wore civilian looking alternatives, but as seen here, he was "buried" in a Starfleet uniform. I think it is pretty obvious what was meant by that. What do others think before I add that latter category? --OuroborosCobra talk 06:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

While I though, at first, that the very first part of the episode when Captain Archer was giving his eulogy that it was actually Trip and that first part was for effect, I do agree with you, Cobra. I mean we have Molly O'Brien on Enterprise-D's catagory. ----Willie 13:49, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

What about Category:Starfleet personnel? --OuroborosCobra talk 14:03, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, Kirk listed Willard Decker as a "Captain" in Star Trek: The Motion Picture when Decker "died". That is the only thing I can remember about changing someone's status at death. I would say yes, add him to the category. He was buried in a Starfleet uniform. ----Willie 14:12, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Page move?[]

Since the script commonly refers to Sim as "Sim-Trip", should we take this to be his full name and move this page accordingly? This suggestion is much in the same way as we take other full names from script sources; "Keyla Terrana" and "Keene" come to mind. --Defiant (talk) 12:16, January 23, 2016 (UTC)

Is Sim-Trip solely used to indicate dialog by him, or also in other's people dialog (instances where people just call him Sim in the episode)? -- Capricorn (talk) 17:19, January 23, 2016 (UTC)

Basically, it's used throughout the whole script, apart from in actual dialogue. So, that indeed includes instances to indicate dialogue by him, but the spoken references to "Sim" in the episode are notated as "Sim" in the script too. --Defiant (talk) 17:25, January 23, 2016 (UTC)
