DS9 Relaunch - inclusion Edit

Could I add some background information on the DS9 relaunch here? Tough Little Ship 17:02, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Why would that be a bad thing? Information is good. :) cap97 18:43, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
Are the relaunch titles in chronological order? Are these novels considered Canon? The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).
I do not know about the order, but no, they are not canon. None of the novels are. --OuroborosCobra talk 02:53, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
If they are not cannon, then why are they allowed on the cannon wiki? StoryMaster 20:22, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
This has already been explained to you half a dozen times. A single article, written from the real world perspective, is allowed for individual licensed products. Licensed by Paramount, so don't try using this discussion as an excuse for re-adding your short story, as it is not licensed by Paramount. None of this is new to you, you have had this explained to you many many times. You will have to forgive me if I am not coming off as nice about this, but you have outlived your welcome period on having the same policies explained to you again and again and again and again and... --OuroborosCobra talk 20:26, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
I was not trying to add my short story. I know the rules and understand it is not welcome here. I am simply asking questions to make sure the wiki is well maintained; and to operate as a valuable citizen of this wiki.StoryMaster 20:29, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
And I will repeat again what Cobra already told you on Enzo's nomination page: "It is within our policies here to write articles on the licensed products from a real world perspective. While individual characters and such from those products (like the novels) do not get articles of their own, the novels themselves do." Nothing has changed about these policies. The next time you wonder if a novel or comic should have a page here, please read this statement again...and then again. --Jörg 20:31, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

DS9 Relaunch - interconnecting references Edit

I have recently started collecting and reading the DS9 relaunch novels, and feel that there are several books that I could and perhaps should have read in order to better understand certain relaunch aspects. I used the DS9 book list on Memory Alpha as my guide for what to read, and in which order, but I feel that I've missed key character development.

Could the relaunch list be adapted to mention books that would give a better background knowledge of characters, such as the ST:TNG Dominion War books, which Ro Laren plays an important part, or Mirror Universe: Obsidian Alliances, which having read previews of, should probably be included in the relaunch list anyway.

Thanks in advance for any responses. J Flint
