Non-canon lists[]
I know that non-canon information lists are only a secondary function on Memory Alpha, but this article is getting unbalanced by the large amounts of additions regarding the characters -- furthermore, the information here duplicated some of the same information in each individual's portion of the character section of the individual novels -- creating kind of a mess of the same information strewn about several articles. Perhaps we could encourage moving recurring character information to a separate list, a subarticle of Star Trek: New Frontier entitled Star Trek: New Frontier characters -- could be created to summarize these submissions, and link back to the relevant canon articles (Robin Lefler, Number One, M'Ress, Shelby, etc)
this wouldn't be adding extraneous non-canon content to Memory Alpha, i feel it would be taking the existing submissions and sorting them better so they use less article space, and encourage a more utilitarian format for the novels (since the character information already added takes up considerable space) -- Captain Mike K. - I started to fix some links then decided to make a format change that had been bugging me. I think most people coming to this page would most likely be looking for the list of books in this series and they were at the bottom of a very long character list, so I wanted to move them up. Once I started, I thought I'd add some pictures and attempt to clean up some of the messiness and redundancy of some of the description. I hope it finds favor with other contributors.
- While I agree with Capt. Mike that it might be a good idea to create a separate page for the characters, I didn't want to do anything to shorten the navigation menu as it allows for subsection links from New Frontier book pages. rkk 03:44, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
