Choose your Pain

I'm kinda just thinking out loud here, but there's no reason to assume this is the same starbase we saw in the same starbase in "Choose Your Pain", right? -- Capricorn (talk) 19:45, February 5, 2018 (UTC)

I would personally say not unless it was identified as such. After all, it's reasonable to assume Starfleet has a standardized design for many of their starbases. According to the note on that page, the captions also state it is Starbase 28 so to some extent at least it may have been intended to represent a different installation. --| TrekFan Open a channel 00:55, February 6, 2018 (UTC)

Alternate Reality?

Why is this article headed with "Alternate Reality"? If this is Discovery, isn't it the Prime Universe? The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) at 20:16, 5 February 2018‎.

I think Jaz must have forgotten to remove the header when spinning off the alt-Starbase 1 page. I removed it as soon as I noticed. ThroningErmine8 (talk) 20:19, February 5, 2018 (UTC)
Bingo. --- Jaz 02:32, April 23, 2018 (UTC)

Starbase I or 1?

At least the Netflix subtitles use the Roman numeral I, not 1; I wonder if this is the same everywhere. —-PreviouslyOn24 (talk) 22:40, February 5, 2018 (UTC)

Close inspection of the planet shown below the starbase seems to reveal features from Earth, such as Lake Michigan and the Florida peninsula. The latter must likely be regarded as an VFX error.

Not removed by me, but this note was cut without explanation, and is substantial enough (on cursory inspection its core claim seems right) to justify being noted on the talk page. -- Capricorn (talk) 16:16, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
