Concept[]
This is one of countless references to the later (chronologically) series. It isn't quite as over the top as Dr. Zefram Cochrane's comment about the crew of the Enterprise E being on "some kind of star trek," but it is a very note worthy reference. Good idea for an article. Condition red and security protocol[]
It was recently suggested that condition red and security protocol have their own pages as well. I don't think that is necessary as neither of those are a clear or humorous reference to the well known red alert but rather just fillers as other possible names. TwoFatFrakes 00:11, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Merge with[]
This is merely a "term" that can't even accurately be categorized in the category which it is based on (see above). Seeing as this was the proposed transition from tactical alert to red alert, it (and the other two red links on the page) could be merged to red alert, as Reed's motives basically defined what Red Alert was all about, in some sort of "early history" section of that article. - Didn't "Reed Alert" actually evolve into "Tactical Alert"? I don't recall tactical alert being used before the episode with "Reed Alert", anyways. If I am right, perhaps merge it into "Tactical Alert". --OuroborosCobra talk 05:24, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
