Justin Simien[]

Since the red link is now there, is the appearance of Justin Simien as an interviewee enough for an article to be created? I'm a bit unsure because he isn't involved in any way in the production of a Star Trek product. Kennelly (talk) 22:43, February 7, 2018 (UTC)

Yes he is, since he was a guest on this show, and this is a Star Trek "product." - Archduk3 00:34, February 8, 2018 (UTC)

Ok, so then what about all the Trekkies interviewed in Star Trek documentaries? Kennelly (talk) 08:30, February 8, 2018 (UTC)

I can see arguments for both points of view. On the one hand, he is only on the show to provide commentary on the week's episode and has not had any real involvement in a Trek production. On the other, by appearing in After Trek you could argue that he has now been in an officially licensed Trek production and therefore deserves his own article. Personally, I think I am leaning towards the former in that he is only on After Trek to provide commentary as a viewer and that's it. He has no other connection that I can see. --| TrekFan Open a channel 08:45, February 8, 2018 (UTC)
This isn't a documentary. It's not a one off special when a series is ending or beginning. This is a marketing and promotional tool that "airs" live after every DIS episode to keep fans engaged and hyped for the next episode. If you don't want this guy to have his own page, whatever, but since we cover people only considered for roles, and this guy was apppoved to be on the show, if not sought out, he's getting a write up somewhere, even if it's some "After Trek guests who don't work on Star Trek" page. Personally, I think it's just easier to give him his own page. - Archduk3 16:46, February 8, 2018 (UTC)
