Conjecture[]

Is this section really necessary? We've seen so many makeup variations that have no relation, so why this one? Simply because of the hunting aspect? -- Dmsdbo 13:34, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Are you referring to the Jem'Hadar speculation? It's not just that the Tosk bare a degree of visual resemblance to the Jem'Hadar, it's also that they have similar traits (like shrouding themselves, superhuman endurance, etc). I wouldn't be surprised if the Founders genetically modified some Tosk to create the first Jem'Hadar. 71.203.209.0 22:55, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

The Jem'Hadar appear to be a fusion of Tosk,the Hunters and another as yet unknown third species,never seen or mentioned in script or broadcast.Some other "canon" confirmation of this would be helpful. Wejvagh 03:34, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
The DS9 companion, which includes a lot of behind the scenes information, says that the script for "The Jem'Hadar" states that the Jem'Hadar cloak is the same one used by Tosk. It seems clear from this that there was a deliberate intent on the part of the creators to link Tosk and the Jem'Hadar.--Tiberius 06:18, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

So "Unnamed Tosk" for the individual? His IDing himself as simply Tosk is akin to a Borg saying "we are Borg". He doesn't think of himself in terms of who he is but what he is. --LauraCC (talk) 20:33, August 22, 2016 (UTC)

First Visitor[]

Was Tosk the first visitor through the wormhole from the Gamma Quadrant? In the show it's established that Odo was from the Gamma Quadrant and arrived before Tosk, but were there any others who also arrived before him?

I'm just questioning the veracity of that claim, as other entities have been shown to have used the wormhole prior to Tosk's arrival but I'm unsure as the the canonicity of those events. Odo's arrival being a prime example, as he was also a "visitor from the Gamma Quadrant" and arrived a considerable amount of time before him.John.redican.58 (talk) 21:43, January 9, 2019 (UTC)
