attacks by whom? Should we add a link to the fact that this is Borg-utilized technology, or leave that up to the imagination? -- Captain M.K.B. 15:32, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

Wait a second -- If that Brunali world was frequently attacked by Borg because it had an aperture less that one light year away, why doesn't Earth get the same sort of attacks?--Gaeamil 12:49, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
(one second later) Can we stop waiting now? The answer to your question is that since nobody knows, we can't say. Are you asking for speculation? You came to the right wrong place - Trekkies are really good at Memory Alpha is not in the business of explaining things that are inconsistent or conspicuously absent in canon. Howbout: Maybe since Earth has advanced military defenses and allied neighbors that the Brunali don't, they're an orders-of-magnitude more difficult assimilation target. Howbout: Maybe the transwarp aperture near Earth is exit-only, and there aren't any "return" apertures near Earth, so the Borg aren't flying by there on every routine errand through the sector. I don't believe we have any canon evidence that transwarp apertures are two-way, or that they're all two-way. In short, use your imagination try trekslash.org 76.200.155.104 16:14, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, excuuuuuse me for being curious, and deciding to ask where I might get a significant answer. At least I didn't bring it up in the article itself. You know, I don't think I should even be responding here, as you hide behind an IP rather than a name. Almost as bad as Anonymous.--Gaeamil 09:25, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Collapse via exit aperture?[]

Article says "A transwarp conduit can be collapsed by detonating photon torpedoes at its exit aperture, resulting in the destruction of any vessels in-transit." If so, why doesn't Janeway in Endgame (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endgame_(Star_Trek:_Voyager) ) go through it first instead of having to blow it up from the entrance/hub side? Also, since it is an exit aperture (since Janeway uses it), why didn't Star Fleet blow it up the first time they detect it (they can detect it since they assembled a battle fleet when they detected Janeway coming). – DvsOasis 16:45, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
