Treaty of 2160[]
- deletion rationale
Why? Why do we need a page for this? If some episode establishes that some war was ended through a treaty, then that's a data point for a page called Treaty (which granted somewhat oddly doesn't exist yet beyond a redirect), there's no good reason to give individual pages to something characters can't be bothered to name more specifically then as "the treaty".
Also, contrary to what the article claims, this wasn't ever said to be "the treaty" that ended the Romulan war (at least not in the episode cited), nor was it linked to 2160. It was only ever presented as the treaty that established the Neutral Zone, at some unspecified point after the war. The article depends on having a made up name, created by taking an outright guess at the year it might be signed in. -- Capricorn (talk) 12:10, September 24, 2018 (UTC)

Compromise - create an unnamed treaties page, move the text there, and edit the text so that it addresses the concerns raised by Capricorn.--Memphis77 (talk) 02:50, September 25, 2018 (UTC)
- Agree with the above. --LauraCC (talk) 17:43, September 27, 2018 (UTC)
- True. --LauraCC (talk) 16:09, September 29, 2018 (UTC)
How do we create a treaty page? We have two treaties with no names - the treaty under discussion and, now, the treaty between Eminiar VII and Vendikar from "A Taste of Armageddon"? There could be others which I have not come across yet.--Memphis77 (talk) 07:55, October 1, 2018 (UTC)
- The page would discuss general references to the idea of treaties (eg. "The Zybroxians never sign treaties." or "Joe compared the act of making up with his girlfriend Amalia to signing a treaty.") "Unnamed treaties" would cover actual treaties referred to with no proper name. --LauraCC (talk) 16:13, October 2, 2018 (UTC)
- I'd start by just listing the treaties @ Treaty, under the text on the general idea. Like how a page like sheep first gives general info, and then goes on to list specific cases in which there was some specific sheep. You'll soon figure out if this approach is sufficient or if it would make more sense to spin them of in a new unnamed treaties page. -- Capricorn (talk) 16:59, October 2, 2018 (UTC)
Adding to the list of unnamed treaties - the treaty between Capella and Federation, giving the latter mining rights to topaline, from "Friday's Child".--Memphis77 (talk) 21:20, October 20, 2018 (UTC)

This could had been so much better handled had the discussion started on the talk page, because there were clearly valid elements to this article that are not addressed antwhere else that the proposed deletion would have ultimately eliminated. For now, I've move this to headline the nonexistant treaty article and added the list stuff that treaty redirected to here as well. --Alan (talk) 02:06, November 4, 2018 (UTC)
