Flip-up sight[]

century type 1 in use in the 2260s incorporated a small flip-up sight and was fired by a trigger on the top front of the unit shouldnt this be a small button in the bottom front of the unit? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.51.55.217.

heh, no I'm saying that the fireing button on a type 1 phaser from the TOS phaser was on the bottom not the top as stated in this article, the wheel was to move the window up or the dial and the red dot was a power charger. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.51.55.217.

Reused image[]

That third image of a "type 1 phaser" is the same image used in the article for "type 2 phaser". It even says "type 2 phaser" when you highlight it. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.25.177.218.

I think the anon user is saying that the same image is representing both a Type 1 and Type 2 phaser, but they likely did not read the caption on this page which states that it is a type-2 incorporating a type-1. 31dot (talk) 22:35, June 12, 2014 (UTC)
