Removed Note Edit

I removed the following:

  • A line spoken by Captain Sisko in "The Adversary" seems to imply that there have been more than one war with the Tzenkethi. However, this might just have been a script error.

How could this possibly be an error? It's the first episode the Tzenkethi appear in (so other scripts would be in error, not this one). But in any case, there's no contradiction whatsoever in there being multiple wars, especially given the lack of canon info we have on them.– Cleanse 11:36, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

I have replaced the first section of this note as it does give some useful info. -- TrekFan Open a channel 21:10, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

You mean this line?

SISKO: We are twelve hours from the border. I haven't been in this area since the last Federation/Tzenkethi War.

I don't really have a problem noting that this implies multiple wars (I was much more concerned about the bizarre "script error" comment). But the article should probably say which line. ;-) –Cleanse ( talk | contribs ) 01:50, January 31, 2011 (UTC)

Removed Background info Edit

I removed the following:

It has been suggested that the name "Tzenkethi" might be a near-anagram of "The Kzinti", Larry Niven's race of aliens that appeared in the animated series episode "The Slaver Weapon".
Robert Hewitt Wolfe said recently in December 2006 that he named the Tzenkethi by combining the name Kzinti with Tsankth, after a race from the RuneQuest and HeroQuest RPGs. Wolfe also said he did not picture them as cats like the Kzinti, but as being like the Hakazit from Jack L. Chalker's Well of Souls novels. He saw the Tzenkethi as being "heavily-armored lizard things". [1]

Re The first line is speculation. The paraphrasing in the second paragraph is based on Wolfe's guesses. In the reference he stated that he couldn't actually remember.--Hribar 13:56, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

I've also removed the below line from the background, because it's not needed: -- Capricorn (talk) 07:56, October 11, 2017 (UTC)
It was unclear if they were a humanoid race or not.
Umm... afaik, Wolfe's comments are still valid bginfo. --Defiant (talk) 08:15, October 11, 2017 (UTC)
You're absolutely right, it should be put back. -- Capricorn (talk) 02:55, October 12, 2017 (UTC)
