You know, the other day, when I was creating articles on par with this, I found this name, but passed it over until it could be investigated further, because you couldn't make a direct link between what was described in the script and what appeared in the episode. At this point this article is a big "maybe" because it is supported with circumstantial evidence. With all due respect, it would have been nice if some thought went into this before creating it because at this point, based on the supporting evidence, it is not much more than speculation. With some cleanup, the best this could be with what evidence exists, this article would read: "Sousa is a name that appeared in one of the scripts but cannot be connected with any of the characters shown on screen." --Alan 18:45, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Indeed. For all we know, it was a mistake – Sousa may have appeared in earlier drafts of the script but was removed, and they just forgot to remove the name from the character list. Hey, it happens. :P --From Andoria with Love 18:55, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
With all due respect, I did give this some thought -- in fact, an entire day's worth -- before I created it. I even looked for a policy addressing what to do in a situation like this one. But when I didn't find such a policy, I went ahead. Put it up for deletion if you want; it won't bother me. - Bridge 19:26, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
I think it should be merged. There were a lot of unnamed ensigns in the episode The Next Phase, and it's impossible to tell which one of them is meant to be Sousa. --NetSpiker (talk) 03:58, February 17, 2017 (UTC)
