I am not 100% sure in this registry was derived sole from the Star Trek Encyclopedia or if it appeared in the display graphics from "Second Chances". If it was the former, the registry needs to be removed and the page moved to USS Potemkin (Excelsior class), --Alan del Beccio 20:43, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm beginning to wonder if the Ambassador silhouette should be taken as a credible reference, and change all the "Riker's ship" Potempkin-references to a ship of that class, and have the final two entries be retained for this page for the later TNG appearance and DS9 reference. It's not like Riker ever said "Hey, there's my old ship". --Alan (talk) 18:16, May 1, 2018 (UTC)

Admittedly I'm not super at home in this kind of stuff, but isn't it the case that we consciously don't put too much stock in silhouettes because they have often proven to be untrustworthy? -- Capricorn (talk) 13:55, May 4, 2018 (UTC)
When have the silhouettes been wrong? I am good with Alan's suggestion.--Memphis77 (talk) 06:26, June 3, 2018 (UTC)
I was thinking mainly about the Operation Retrieve charts, but again I'm not super knowledgeable about this situation, it's just something I imagine I remember from skimming some discussions. I wanted to bring it up out of fear that a wrong decision might be made in this discussion because the right people didn't see it. -- Capricorn (talk) 01:39, June 5, 2018 (UTC)
