Both Osnullus' attended Airiam's funeral?[]
How did both of the Osnullus' attend Airiam's funeral if they are both played the same performer? SketchFan98 (talk) 08:20, May 12, 2019 (UTC)
- They're not played by the same performer in all scenes, it seems. There is one scene on the bridge in "Point of Light" where they appear together, too. We know that Avaah Blackwell has played both purple and pink Osnullus in various scenes and she appears to be the main Osnullus performer, but it's likely she isn't the only one, with others standing in when you need to see two of them together. And that means the other two Osnullus' in Airiam's funeral who we don't have a article for yet are played by different performers. SketchFan98 (talk) 11:25, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
- Or by the same ones, really. The wide shot of the funeral might be a composite green screen image with some of the same people as background aliens shown twice. JagoAndLitefoot (talk) 11:38, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
Also true. SketchFan98 (talk) 11:39, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
Chief engineer[]
In "An Obol for Charon," Jett Reno enters engineering (13:43) and says "Chief engineer sent me to firewall off the critical propulsion systems. Hurrah123456 (talk) 08:19, July 7, 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed Stamets should not be referred to as Chief Engineer. Per the explanation in his background section, I do think he should be listed among the senior staff as "Spore drive engineer" (which I've added) if "Chief engineer of the spore drive" is too background/confusing. (For what it's worth, he also wears a sciences division insignia, and the Engineering set is not necessarily "main engineering.") - AJ Halliwell (talk) 13:40, July 7, 2020 (UTC)
- In my opinion, the best way to list Stamets is "astromycologist," but that doesn't feel like it'd be part of the command crew. Hurrah123456 (talk) 05:52, July 8, 2020 (UTC)
Aliens in cafeteria[]
I just wanted to point out an alien woman in the cafeteria scene in "Context is For Kings" that doesn't have a picture on here. She is located behind Burnham while she is walking with a tray. She has blond hair in a ponytail, and markings on her forehead and cheek extending down her jaw. Not exactly sure if she is explicitly alien or not, as I did not see the episode yet, but I saw her in a picture on Ex Astris Scientia and noticed that she looked different from the other crewmembers. -- Humanoid21 (talk) 03:58, October 7, 2020 (UTC) There are actually at least three more aliens in the background in the cafeteria in "Choose Your Pain" when Burnham and Tilly were talking. One was behind Burnham to her left, another one with pigtails walked by their table and joined two other crewmembers, and the third sat down with the teal-haired woman. Two Osnullus performers[]
StarTrek.com [1] says that the Osnullus have been portrayed by "Avaah Blackwell and/or Kayso Wong". Given that Blackwell has been confirmed to have played both the main blue and pink Osnullus characters by various sources, and generally is always mentioned as the main Osnullus performer everywhere, I think Wong might be appearing only in the few scenes where both the main pink and blue Osnullus are seen together, but it hasn't been actually said anywhere. This is actually the only source to have ever mentioned Wong that I know of.
Anyway, how should it be stated on this page? JagoAndLitefoot (talk) 02:27, October 23, 2020 (UTC)
