I suggest we merge this and possibly even leak (slang) with the slang page. I really don't think this needs its own article, and even if it does remain, we definitely don't need two articles about the same subject. --From Andoria with Love 04:06, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Technically, the term "pee" is slang too. The proper location for both of these articles would be urine/urination...--Alan del Beccio 05:04, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

This is already covered in the leak article. I suggest we merge it to that page or to the slang page. I would also suggest the latter for pee. In any case, one or the other should go, becuase we certainly don't need two pages on the same subject. --From Andoria with Love 04:05, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

How about urination. :P --From Andoria with Love 20:51, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

"Urination" was never mentioned in any episode or movie. "Leak" was.--Babaganoosh 19:55, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
This is covered in the proper leak article as described above. I would merge it with the slang page, if we even need to. Also, it leaves out info from the other ep that mentioned the slang word "leak." Memory Alpha isn't a dictionary, so not every word or expression should have a page, and both the leak and slang articles should cover any information. Whether urination was mentioned or not is a non sequitur, the act was seen, but I guess that would be covered by the other "slang" word article.--Tim Thomason 20:06, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
EDIT CONFLICT -- Urination is a biological function and a clear explanation for what "pee" and "leak" is slang for-- as having two articles on the same subject is simply asinine. In no way does that mean the function does not exist because it "was never mentioned in any episode or movie". The one other reference that comes to mind in this 'frame of reference' was cleverly described as something along the lines of "I need to go to the waste extractor." On a personal note, that slang page/category was one of the bigger mistakes this site has made...--Alan del Beccio 20:13, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
"The Kreetassans consider the Alvera Trees cultural treasures. Apparently, Porthos urinated on one of them." - T'Pol, ENT: "A Night in Sickbay" - so actually the word "urinated" has been used in Star Trek. :) 78.86.160.133 16:30, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Additionally, in that episode, Archer stated: "Well, maybe if they'd bothered to read the genetic profile we sent they'd have told us to leave the dog on the ship, and then he wouldn't have had an opportunity to pee on one of their precious trees. " --Alan 07:05, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

urination ""WAS"" the process??[]

past tense??? excuse me?

Memory Alpha:Point of view seems to agree: "This means using the past tense in almost all instances. An exception to this are purely definitional statements on articles about a concept (which can be considered "eternal") - these may be written in present tense. For example, an article about any specific planet should be written in past tense from beginning to end. An article about the concept of a planet, however, could start with a definition that is written in present tense ("A planet is a celestial body orbiting a star"), before changing to past tense for the remainder of the article." "Urination" is a concept. Specific occurrences of doing so should be past tense. --LauraCC (talk) 14:29, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
