I thought women couldn't lead Klingon houses --Jaguartalon 06:05, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Sure they can. See Grilka. --OuroborosCobra talk 06:10, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

--Klingons respect their women as fellow warriors, there's no "sexism" in the Klingon Warrior Culture. 22:06, January 8, 2018 (UTC)

That's not actually true. For example, a line by Koloth in "The Trouble with Tribbles" was intended to imply that females ("non-essentials," as Koloth puts it) don't serve on Klingon vessels (though in "Day of the Dove", two women, including Mara, are shown as crew members from Kang's battle cruiser). Later, the notion that Klingon females can't serve as captains was instrumental in the portrayals of Klaa and Vixis in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, and Ronald D. Moore included in TNG: "Redemption" that Klingon females may not serve on the Klingon High Council, although Gowron had offered K'Ehleyr a seat on the High Council in "Reunion". Moore later explained, "I wasn't trying to imply that they [Klingon females] were second tier citizens at all," but that he had nonetheless imagined the species as "a traditionally patriarchal society," with many aspects of that having disappeared over time. --Defiant (talk) 22:34, January 8, 2018 (UTC)

Removed Edit

I've removed the following speculation: "Her Klingon features were notably indistinct, almost allowing her to pass as a human. This may have made her an ideal candidate for covert missions." --Defiant (talk) 13:39, April 24, 2017 (UTC)

Deleted Scene (TV)Edit

Kruge's page says that Valkris' scene was deleted/removed from a lot of early TV showings of Star Trek III, but doesn't say why. I came to Valkris' page to find out the answer and her article makes no mention of her scene not being aired at all. Is the Kruge page in error or is the Valkris page missing highly important information? 22:10, January 8, 2018 (UTC)

We can only put information in an article if it is available to put in. 31dot (talk) 22:16, January 8, 2018 (UTC)
