This was further substantiated when an analysis of the transcript revealed that the USS Enterprise was on a course between Rigel VII and Vega Colony, when it received a signal 18 light years away, with a transmission origin point in the Talos system. Both Rigel VII and Vega Colony had been identified as being in the Milky Way Galaxy.
