Memory Alpha

Too much like Wikipedia[]

At present, this is more of a wikipedia page than a Memory Alpha article. Its description needs to be limited to what it is and how it was referenced in "Far Beyond the Stars", the latter being the most important. And as you can see, its reference isn't explained. --From Andoria with Love 11:08, 4 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Brief questioning[]

Is there any particular reason why real world trivia about this product needs to be omitted? I agree that an explanation better referencing the episode the product appeared in was necessary, but isn't the information about the product itself equally important considering the context it was placed in? I won't edit the information I wrote about the product back in, but I think just creating a page that is no different than a two sentence cut and paste from the episode guide the link is contained in is superfulous and a waste of the 511 bytes of server space it now occupies.

Nobody had taken the time to give any information about Redi-Tea, which I did. I feel there is just as much room for real world trivia on Trek referenced material as there is on the imaginary world of Trek itself. The two, after all, are connected together. Memory Alpha is not Wikipedia. We only list real-life information as it relates to Star trek, just look at pages like George W. Bush or Michelob. We did leave the link to their webpage, if people want to know more. - AJHalliwell 17:54, 5 Sep 2005 (UTC)
