USS Yorkshire Edit

USS Yorkshire was recently added to the list of canon ships, yet the article itself is merely a redirect to the Encyclopedia, implying that it is an Encyclopedia only non-canon ship. Why the addition? If this is something new from the remastered material, an actual article needs to be written. Without an episode citation, I can't do that on my own. --OuroborosCobra talk 02:19, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

I added the entry about the starship. The information is from Mr. Okuda when asked about the ships in the episode "Court Martial". I didn't write the article as I have forgotten how to do such a thing. --Airtram3 04:16, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
I have rewritten the article, properly cited it, and moved the page accordingly.Capt Christopher Donovan 06:43, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I asked Mike Okuda for information about the Antares type ship seen at the beginning of "Court Martial" remastered. He gave me the following information:
The ship in "Court Martial" is the Yorkshire, NCC-330. We're using the red script names (similar to the original shuttles) on the sides of these ships, with no "USS" prefix, so it's ambiguous as to whether these are Starfleet or merely of Federation registry.

Then should we also change the USS Antares article? It also cites Okuda as the source for "USS" prefix.Capt Christopher Donovan 07:19, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
As the Yorkshire's registry is lower than the Antares', shouldn't we call it Yorkshire-type? -- 07:39, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Our type naming is determined by "first seen", not registry. --OuroborosCobra talk 08:32, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
