Talos III was the inhabited ringed third planet of the Talos system. The planet was located in the Talos star group, a stellar cluster of the Alpha Quadrant. The planet was approximately 2 light years from Starbase 11.
History[]
By the mid-2280s, the United Federation of Planets had established a presence on this planet. In 2285, a cargo container from this world had been transported to Regula, where it was stored in a cave located deep under the surface of this planetoid. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)
Stellar cartography[]
In 2254, the position and orbital path of Talos III in an inner system map was displayed on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. The planet was located 2.5 astronomical units from the stars at the system's center. (TOS: "The Cage", "The Menagerie, Part I", production art)
