Tareckx was a male Kwejian who lived during the 32nd century. He was the father of Cleveland Booker, who shared his name before rejecting his ways.
Tareckx came from a family of "killers" and "poachers". He hunted trance worms for the Emerald Chain as a means of supporting his family. He died before Kwejian was destroyed by the Dark Matter Anomaly in 3190. (DIS: "Stormy Weather")
As Tareckx worked with the Chain, and decimated the trance worm population, the relationship between he and Booker became strained, leading to an estrangement. When he lay on his deathbed, he requested that Booker come, to no avail. (DIS: "The Sanctuary")
After Kwejian was destroyed, Booker hallucinated an image of his father, rebuking him for not avenging his planet and people. Booker chose to believe that the image was more than a hallucination, because that would mean that something remained of his brother Kyheem and nephew Leto. (DIS: "Stormy Weather") Through his son's later marriage to Michael Burnham, Tareckx became the posthumous grandfather of their son Leto. (DIS: "Life, Itself")
